The members of the Pyongyang City Party and the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade have reached the Amnok River flood-damaged recovery site to begin construction preparations.

According to the Rodong Sinmun, “the party members from the capital have arrived in the Songgan County of Chagang Province and have started work on land leveling, road restoration, and securing construction materials.”

The report also stated that thousands of members from the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade arrived in Uiju County of North Pyongan Province and have entered the construction preparations.

The newspaper added that as the enthusiasm among the youth volunteers continues to rise, the number of applicants has reached several hundred thousand in just a few days.

Kim Jong Un encouraged Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade on the 6th at the Pyongyang dispatch ceremony so they could head to North Pyongyang Province flood recovery areas.
