The 10th discharge will continue until November 4, with a total volume of 7,800 tons, the same as previous discharges.

Tokyo Electric Power explained that it collected and analyzed samples from measurement and verification tanks, confirming that the concentration of radioactive substances, including tritium, met safety standards.

They had previously announced in June that after completing the 10th discharge this year, it plans to conduct the 11th discharge in February or March of 2025.

So far, TEPCO has discharged approximately 70,000 tons of contaminated water into the sea in front of the nuclear power plant. As of October 3, the amount of contaminated water stored at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant was 1.303 million tons.
