Images of North Korean self-propelled artillery, presumed to have been deployed to the battlefields between Ukraine and Russia, are circulating online.

The pro-Ukrainian Telegram account exilnova_plus shared footage on Tuesday claiming to show the first confirmed sighting of North Korea’s 170mm self-propelled gun, the “Koksan,” on the front.

The account reported that the video had been circulating among Russian troops.

In November, the Russian Telegram channel ZOV_Voeoda posted images of the Koksan, a frequent feature in North Korean military parades. The Koksan was being transported by rail to a suspected Russian location.

New photos of the suspected personal effects of a deceased North Korean soldier on the western front in Kursk, Russia, have also appeared.

InformNapalm, a pro-Ukrainian volunteer organization, disclosed on its Telegram channel that Ukrainian special operations forces had eliminated thirteen individuals in Kursk using firearms and drones, releasing images of the casualties and their belongings.

The photos revealed items, including a booklet marked “Emergency Circular” with a QR code, a damaged smartphone, and other equipment. The organization noted that the presence of a scoped assault rifle and drone detector suggests some of the deceased may have been officers.

A photo revealed a soldier’s application to join the Workers’ Party, signed by “Jeong Geum Ryeong.”

The handwritten application contained statements such as, “With an unwavering determination to defend the motherland with my rifle, I voluntarily enlisted in the heroic Korean People’s Army. I earnestly request admission into the glorious Workers’ Party of Korea.”
