On Thursday, NVIDIA announced a strategic partnership with the Vietnamese government. The two parties inked an agreement to foster AI development across Southeast Asia.

The signing ceremony took place in Hanoi, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính attended. However, specific details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Following the signing, NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang noted the importance of AI for Vietnam. Huang described it as a “new infrastructure that will boost growth.”

During his visit to Hanoi a year ago, Huang expressed NVIDIA’s commitment to expanding collaborations with Vietnam’s leading tech firms and supporting talent development in AI and digital infrastructure.

In a related development, Vietnamese tech giant FPT revealed plans to construct a $200 million AI factory in April, leveraging NVIDIA’s graphics chips and software. NVIDIA’s stock saw a 3.48% uptick, closing at $145.14.
