BTS’s V has been selected as the franchise ‘Compose Coffee’ model, and it has been reported that the expected cost for the advertising campaign is a whopping 6 billion won. ($5.1 million).

According to Newsis on the 20th, Compose Coffee has chosen BTS V as their model for the 10th anniversary of their brand launch next year.

Compose Coffee completed an advertisement shoot with V earlier this month and plans to reveal the advertisements in the future.

Compose Coffee has announced that during the process of appointing V as the model, they will share the advertising costs with franchisees. It has been revealed that out of the estimated advertising cost of 6 billion won for V’s campaign, 2 billion won will be allocated to franchise owners.

The advertising costs of BTS are already well known for their high value. According to the KBS2 program ‘Women Running the Chart’ aired in 2021, the annual model fee for BTS is about 5 billion won ($4.3 million). At that time, BTS served as models for a total of 13 brands, boasting global popularity.

Based on the year 2021, three years ago, BTS negotiated with a guarantee 20% lower than the existing model fee, and as a result, they recorded an estimated advertising model fee of about 62 billion won ($52.6 million).

Meanwhile, V enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier on the 11th and is currently fulfilling his military duties. Known to have applied for the Army Special Forces, he told his fans before enlisting, “I know you guys are worried, but honestly, I want to face it head-on. And I have my own goals, so don’t worry too much.”

Currently, all members of BTS, including V, are enlisted in the military, and the estimated time for the full group to resume activities is after June 2025.
