[TV Report=Reporter Kim Hyun-seo] Hamas, the armed faction of Palestine, launched a surprise attack on Israel, resulting in numerous casualties. Amidst this, American top model Gigi Hadid expressed her deep sorrow.

Gigi Hadid grew up under her Palestinian father, and their family has been supporting the ‘Free Palestine Movement’.

On the 11th, Gigi Hadid released a statement through her social media saying, “I believe that many people are being robbed of their innocent lives due to this unjustifiable tragedy”.

Expressing deep empathy and sorrow for the struggle of Palestine and their occupied lives, she said, “I feel a responsibility to make it clear to my Jewish friends as well”. She pointed out that terrorizing innocent people does not help the ‘Free Palestine’ movement at all.

She also said that such acts of terror have been going on for decades, innocent people are being sacrificed, and it is helping to perpetuate the wrong idea that ‘pro-Palestinians are anti-Semitic’.

Gigi Hadid stated that all humans, regardless of nationality, religion, ethnicity, and place of birth, have the right to basic rights, treatment, and safety, adding, “I always pray for the safety of innocent lives”.

Related to this, Gigi Hadid’s father and Palestinian-born billionaire real estate developer Mohamed Hadid shared the post, expressing agreement, “My daughter Gigi Hadid sends this to all of humanity”.

Since the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas on the 7th, the conflict has been escalating with Israel’s massive counterattack. Hamas has taken Israeli residents and others hostage, and Israel is retaliating by bombing the Palestinian Gaza Strip. The number of war casualties on both sides has increased to about 2,000.
