Man in 40s Takes Drunk Woman into his Car, Faces Charges

A man in his 40s was arrested in the middle of Gangnam, Seoul, for taking an intoxicated woman, whom he did not know, into his car.

According to the police on the 23rd, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul is investigating Mr. A, a man in his 40s, on suspicion of drugging for molestation.

Mr. A is accused of taking Ms. B, a woman in her 20s who was drunk, into his car on a street in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, around 12:30 a.m. on the 21st.

At the time, Seocho-gu office employees monitoring the situation through closed-circuit (CC) TV found Mr. A’s behavior suspicious. They alerted the Seocho Police Station, and the police arrested Mr. A on the scene within 10 minutes.

According to the police investigation, it was found that they did not know each other.

Mr. A reportedly stated that he only took Ms. B into his car to take her home and had no intention of molestation.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances in more detail against Mr. A.
