Apple is set to unveil an updated version of its video editing software ‘Final Cut Pro’ for Mac and iPad at the end of this month.
According to Apple, on the 7th, the new Mac version of Final Cut Pro introduces Auto Timeline Scrolling to allow creators to maintain their workflow while editing complex timelines.
Users can keep the playhead’s position in view even while playing a video file. They can also dynamically adjust the timeline view using zoom-in/out tools or keyboard shortcuts.
Moreover, with this update, each project can be transferred more quickly. Users can export H.264 and HEVC videos faster using an automatic media engine to analyze video segments.
Along with this, the iPad version of Final Cut Pro adds a Voice Over feature. Users can record their narration or live audio directly onto the timeline using the built-in microphone on the iPad or an external microphone. It also supports importing projects created in iMovie for iOS.
Final Cut Pro can be updated for free for existing users. For new users, the Mac version is priced at $299.99, and the iPad version is available for $4.99 per month or $49 per year.
