In Canada, chemical castration is implemented for sex offenders, so there is speculation that Kris might also be subjected to castration.

Meanwhile, Kris debuted as a member of EXO and EXO-M under SM Entertainment in 2012.

In 2014, he filed a lawsuit against his agency for nullification of his exclusive contract and left the team to return to China.

He continued his career as a singer and actor in China but was arrested by Chinese public security in 2021 following various sexual allegations.
