Parents, founded in 1926, is a prestigious American magazine that provides various information on child development to assist parenting. Each year, it conducts the Best Family Car Awards, selecting excellent vehicles with the convenience and safety features necessary for families with children. This year’s awards evaluated more than 140 vehicles.

Parents stated, “The Ioniq 5, with its superior PE system and futuristic design, is an excellent choice for customers looking for a family car,” and added, “Its fast charging speed and excellent driving range on a single charge offer great benefits.”

Furthermore, Parents highly evaluated the Ioniq 5 for its V2L feature, which provides enough power to supply a whole household, and its spacious interior, which doesn’t cause inconvenience even when caring for a child with a car seat installed.

In addition, the Ioniq 5 has proven its excellent product competitiveness by being selected as one of the best SUVs of 2024 and 2025, as announced by the prestigious American automotive magazine Car and Driver in February.

Ricky Lao, Head of Product Planning at Hyundai Motor’s North American Regional Headquarters, said, “We are very proud that the Ioniq 5 has been recognized as the best family car. Hyundai Motor will continue to strive to provide vehicles with excellent usability, safety, and efficiency.”
