After Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, bravely disclosed her battle with cancer, messages of comfort have been pouring in from various quarters.

On the 22nd (local time), the Princess shared a poignant video message on her official social media platform, unveiling her cancer diagnosis.

She revealed, “I underwent significant abdominal surgery in London last January. Initially, it was not diagnosed as cancer, and the surgery was deemed successful. However, cancer was detected during a post-operative examination.”

Following her surgery in January, the Princess faced rumors of severe illness and marital discord due to her absence from public appearances. It’s speculated that this prompted her decision to address her illness directly.

Subsequently, warm words of comfort were conveyed from various dignitaries, including her father-in-law, Prince Charles, President Joe Biden of the United States, and even Prince Harry and his wife, who have had strained relations with Prince William and his wife.

According to reports from AFP and BBC, Prince Charles started Buckingham Palace, expressing pride in Kate’s courage to speak out. He mentioned, “Over the past few weeks, I have maintained close communication with my beloved daughter-in-law.”

Prince Charles had previously disclosed his cancer diagnosis and commenced treatment on the 5th of last month.

Prince Harry and his wife, known to have been at odds with the elder brother and his wife, also sent warm messages. They stated, “We wish for the health and healing of Kate and her family, hoping they can find solace and tranquility during this time.”

Following discord with the royal family, Prince Harry and his wife parted ways with the monarchy in 2020. Subsequently, they have brought to light the family’s conflicts and personal experiences, including drug use, through platforms such as an interview with Oprah Winfrey, a Netflix documentary, and their autobiography “Spare.”

President Biden stated on X (formerly Twitter), “Jill (First Lady Jill Biden) and I stand with millions worldwide in wishing for the complete recovery of the Princess of Wales, Kate.” French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron expressed, “We wish for her speedy recovery. Your courage and resilience inspire us.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau remarked, “We stand with the Princess, who bravely shared her battle with cancer, along with her children and the entire royal family.”

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton apologized for a controversy surrounding a photo she released for the first time in two months.

Kensington Palace issued an apology on the X account under the Princess’s name on the 11th (local time), stating, “Like many amateur photographers, I occasionally experiment with photo editing. I apologize for the confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday.”

Kensington Palace posted the controversial photo on social media platforms such as X and Instagram on the 10th to mark Mother’s Day.

However, suspicions arose about whether the photo had been manipulated, as traces of editing were discovered. Some parts of Princess Charlotte’s sleeve appeared to be erased, the hem of her skirt seemed misaligned, and the positioning of the Princess’s zipper appeared unusual.

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been one of the most popular figures in the royal family. She has consistently enjoyed higher approval ratings in polls than King Charles, Queen Camilla, and even her husband, Prince William.

Coming from a prosperous commoner background, she nurtured her romance with Prince William when they were in college. Despite a breakup, they eventually tied the knot in 2011.

Endearing an elegant yet approachable image, she gained popularity, particularly as the mother of three children, including Prince George, creating a harmonious family.
