Various jobs are being created thanks to the ever-advancing science and technology. Accordingly, new jobs are being created and disappearing.

In such an unstable society, what could be the promising future jobs that will survive?

1. Occupational Therapist

This relatively unfamiliar job promotes health and welfare through work. The goal is generally to assist individuals with physical, mental, and social impairments to participate in daily life.

As the aging population deepens, occupational therapists have job opportunities and increasing opportunities to work in the general elderly field.

Not only that, but the job field is diverse, including rehabilitation hospitals, children’s rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, dementia centers, and nursing hospitals, so there are more job opportunities than other occupations.

2. Digital Marketing Manager

As media digitalization accelerates, experts predict the marketing technology market will grow tremendously.

In the future, it is estimated that 80% of the media will be consumed digitally, so the need for experts who understand these trends and effectively devise marketing strategies stands out.

And the person who does this job is a digital marketing manager.

In the future, most advertisements will change to display or proximity advertising, and all media will be personalized and programmed for sales and purchases.

As such, the importance of digital marketing managers who predict and manage fundamentally changed consumption is growing.

3. Data Scientist

As the size of the big data market expands, the data to be handled also increases.

Moreover, data science is being applied in various fields such as biology, medicine, engineering, sociology, and humanities, so it has the advantage of having many applicable fields.

In line with this trend, education to foster data scientists is actively taking place in major countries such as the United States, Japan, and Korea.

4. Nurse

Currently, nursing is ranked high among promising future jobs worldwide.

Experts say this is because as society ages, employment in related fields will increase due to expanded medical and welfare support.

Especially in the medical field, there is a reason why nurses have mainly established themselves as promising future occupations.

While most surgeons are replaced by robots that meticulously stitch, it isn’t easy to replace nurses who provide emotional stability through interaction with humans.

Thus, nurses who provide warm touches and watchful eyes are irreplaceable by technological advancements and are expected to have tremendous competitiveness in the future.
