New York Post reported the story of Ashley Zablocki, 28, a mother of two living in Victoria, USA, who successfully lost an incredible 121 pounds in just 11 months.

According to the report, Zablocki developed unhealthy eating habits when she turned 18 and gained more freedom to buy her own food. These habits worsened after she had her first child. She mentioned, “I used food to cope with my emotions,” and added, “I’ve always had a terrible relationship with food, my body, and my mental health.”

Zablocki would snack on chocolate all day, eat the food her kids didn’t finish, skip lunch or breakfast, and binge eat at dinner. As a result, her weight kept increasing until she reached 267 pounds.

Despite this, she always thought, “Having kids was almost like an excuse to myself: ‘I’m a busy mum, I don’t have time to do that,'” until she changed her mindset one day.

While at a store to buy some newly released caramel, her son grabbed the caramel from her hand and broke it in half. She felt an uncontrollable wave of anger. She said, “I was so upset because the caramel was no longer perfect. That’s when I realized my relationship with food wasn’t healthy.”

Determined to change, Zablocki bought a treadmill and gradually reduced her meal portions. Instead of snacking and eating large meals, she switched to three meals a day and drank more sugar-free drinks and water instead of sugary beverages. As she got used to this diet, she began practicing intermittent fasting and later added dance classes to increase her physical activity.

Thanks to these efforts, she lost 121 pounds in 11 months and now maintains a weight of 141 pounds.

She expressed her happiness, saying, “I feel amazing. I’m mentally and physically much better. I don’t feel pain when I get out of bed anymore.”

She also shared that while she hasn’t gotten up her love for food, she now enjoys it more healthily. In addition to running and dancing, she has started weight training and is determined to continue her journey toward a healthy life.
