The Marvels

The movie ‘The Marvels’ has left audiences wanting more of Park Seo-Joon’s performance.

The recently released film ‘The Marvels’ is a superhero action blockbuster where the universe-protecting hero, Captain Marvel’s Carol Danvers’ swaps places with ‘Monica Rambeau’ and Ms. Marvel ‘Kamala Khan’ each time she uses her powers, inadvertently leading to new teamplay.

The film garnered attention as actor Park Seo-Joon’s Hollywood debut, sparking much discussion.

Park Seo-Joon is the third Korean actor to appear in a Marvel movie, stirring anticipation among fans.

The Marvels

In the film, Park Seo-Joon played Prince Yan, the husband of Captain Marvel and prince of the planet Aladna.

However, contrary to fans’ expectations, Park Seo-Joon’s screen time in the movie was approximately 5 minutes, which was a disappointment.

Furthermore, Yan’s narrative and character relationships were all condensed into dialogue, leaving a sense of regret.

In addition, the audience’s overall satisfaction with the work dropped, leading to speculation that Park Seo-Joon’s presence was even more negligible.

Previously, Nia DaCosta, the director of the film, commented on Park Seo-Joon, saying, “Although his screen time is short, he is an impactful character with a strong presence. He plays a crucial role.”

However, contrary to the director’s statement, Park Seo-Joon’s performance did not meet fans’ expectations, stirring up regret.
