Facebook and Instagram users were unable to access and experienced inconvenience.

According to foreign news sources such as AP on the 5th (local time), “There was a nearly two-hour outage on multiple Meta platforms.”

Internet monitoring company NetBlocks informed X (former Twitter) that “Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads, four Meta platforms, are currently experiencing login session-related outages in several countries. There are no signs of a nationwide internet outage or information blockade.”

The connectivity issue was resolved within two hours.

Meta Communications Director Andy Stone said through X, “This morning, users had difficulty accessing some services due to a technical issue. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone affected. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

On the day of the connectivity error, Elon Musk, Tesla CEO who owns X, mocked the SNS error situation operated by Meta on his SNS, saying, “If you are reading this post, it’s because the (X) server is working.”

In particular, Musk posted a picture of penguins marked as Instagram, Facebook, and Threads saluting towards the penguin marked as X.
