Trump: ‘There Will Be a Bloodbath If I Lose’

Republican-Democratic political battle heats up ahead of November presidential election
Trump: “If elected, 100% car tariffs will be imposed. The country will be a bloodbath if I fail to be re-elected.”
Biden: “Do you want a repeat of January 6th?”

The political sphere is heating up over former U.S. President Donald Trump’s bloodbath remark. Trump’s comment that if he does not win the upcoming November U.S. election, America will possibly become a blood bath grows in impact. Current U.S. President Joe Biden, who is stepping up as a rematch opponent, is using it as a point of attack, claiming it threatens democracy. Meanwhile, former President Trump appears to be refuting and rectifying the situation.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and ABC Broadcasting, on the 19th, Trump made the controversial remark at a campaign rally for Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno outside Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio, on the 16th (local time). At the event, Trump said, “I will impose a 100% tariff on all cars coming into the U.S. if I am elected,” and “If I am not elected, there will be a blood bath everywhere. There will be a blood bath in the country.”

In response to the harsh remarks, President Biden immediately launched an offensive. Amid the topic becoming a talking point online and elsewhere, Biden’s team posted a video of the blood bath comment on the X account. Alongside this, they stated, “It is clear this man (former President Trump) wants another January 6th,” and “But the American people will hand him another election defeat this November.” This is interpreted as a heightening concern, connecting with the Capitol intrusion incident on January 6, 2021.

Nancy Pelosi, a former Speaker of the House and Democratic Representative, also chimed in. In an interview with CNN, she said, “We have to win this election” because “he’s forecasting a blood bath.”

Former President Trump is pushing back. On his Truth Social account that day, he wrote, “Fake news media and their Democratic partners are pretending to be shocked about my blood bath term usage,” and “It meant that Biden’s car imports are killing the American auto industry.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence, who had expressed his withdrawal of support for Trump, also said, “He’s talking about the destructive impact of imported goods on the American auto industry.” J.D. Vance, a federal senator who was mentioned as a running mate for Trump in this election, said the attack on the former president was “nonsense.”
