The shooter of Donald Trump reportedly prepared for the attack by flying a drone over the site two hours before the rally. Just a week before the incident, he had searched for information about John F. Kennedy’s assassin.
On the 24th, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee held a press conference with FBI Director Christopher Wray in attendance. The committee aimed to reveal the truth behind the attempted assassination of Trump. Wray noted that the deceased shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, searched for details about the assassination of former President Kennedy on the 6th, the same day Trump’s campaign plans were announced.
Crooks searched for the distance between Lee Harvey Oswald and President Kennedy during the assassination. On the day of the incident, he meticulously planned and launched a drone to check the scene two hours before the shooting. At the same time, Wray confirmed the breach in security at the event.
However, the FBI has not identified a clear motive for the attack. During the hearing, Wray stated, “Nothing significant was found in terms of motive.”
