The moment South Korean bronze medalists Lim Jong Hoon and Shin Yu Bin took a selfie with the North Korean silver medalists Ri Jong Sik and Kim Kum Yong on the podium in mixed doubles on June 30 was ranked as the sixth story.

The table tennis players from both Koreas took a picture with the gold medalists, Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha from China, using a Samsung phone.

The Olympic Committee sponsor, Samsung, introduced a Victory Selfie program at this event. This program allowed athletes on the podium to take pictures together using Samsung Galaxy phones.

AFP commented, “It’s an unprecedented image: North and South Korean table tennis medallists taking selfies together on the podium on July 30.”

The top three moments were as follows:

1. The rain during the opening ceremony parade.

2. Novak Djokovic of Serbia achieved a “Career Golden Grand Slam” by winning the men’s singles tennis title.

3. Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles from the U.S. honoring Brazil’s Rebecca Andrade while securing third place.
