A recently built 35-meter-high rooster-shaped hotel in the Philippines is drawing attention.
Located at Highland Resort in Negros Occidental, this unique hotel has officially earned the title of the world’s largest rooster-shaped building, according to Guinness World Records. The hotel measures 34.931 meters in height, 28.172 meters in length, and 12.127 meters in width, making it a striking landmark for visitors.
According to the Philippine broadcaster GMA Network, the hotel has 15 rooms equipped with air conditioning, beds, hot showers, large televisions, and other amenities to ensure a comfortable stay for guests.
A hotel representative explained the choice of a rooster shape, saying, “In the Philippines, the rooster is considered a strong animal that symbolizes resilience.”
Reactions from those who have seen the hotel have been mixed but enthusiastic. Comments range from “It’s exotic and impressive” to “Proud that it holds a Guinness record” and “I’d love to visit.”
The building’s designer, speaking after the Guinness certification, shared the inspiration behind the design: “If you look at a rooster, it looks calm and commanding, imposing and strong, which reflects the attitude of our people,” he said. “I had the vision to create something with a wow factor that would leave a lasting impression on the public.”
