The news that Kim Yong-ho, who had been active on the YouTube channel ‘Garosero Research Institute,’ was found dead has delivered a shock.

According to a police official on the 12th, YouTuber Kim Yong-ho was found dead on the 4th floor of a hotel in Haeundae-gu, Busan, around 1 p.m. that day.

Kim, known to have been staying on the 11th floor of the hotel, is believed to have fallen from a high floor of the hotel and died and a hotel employee discovered Kim’s body and reported it to the fire department and the police.

In response, the police assume Kim made an extreme choice and are investigating the exact circumstances while controlling the scene.

Kim was sentenced to 8 months in prison with a 2-year suspended sentence on the 11th at a sentencing hearing for a sexual assault case held at the Eastern Branch of the Busan District Court on charges of forcibly molesting a female entertainment bar employee, A, after drinking alcohol at a meat restaurant in Haeundae-gu, Busan, in the early morning of July 26, 2019.

Furthermore, he was also facing a warrant review for allegations of extorting hundreds of millions of won by threatening celebrities.

He appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Garosero Research Institute,’ using his experience as an entertainment reporter to catch celebrities’ weaknesses and threaten to expose them. He was accused of extorting hundreds of millions of won.
