On the 26th, President Yoon Suk Yeol is seen heading to the reception area after the inauguration ceremony for the new ambassadors to Korea at the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Seoul.

On the 29th, a public opinion poll revealed that President Yoon Suk Yeol’s approval rating had fallen for three consecutive weeks, marking the lowest level since August of the year before last.

The survey conducted by Realmeter at Energy Economy’s request from the 22nd to the 26th targeting 2,518 eligible voters aged 18 and above across the nation, shows a 30.2% positive evaluation of President Yoon’s administration performance (with a margin of error of ±2.0% at a 95% confidence level).

The positive evaluation of the administration’s performance has been dropping for three consecutive weeks, from 37.3% in the first week of April, to 32.6% in the second week, 32.3% in the third week, and now in the current survey.

By age group, there were declines in the 30s (down 3.1 percentage points), 50s (down 3.1 percentage points), 60s (down 3.0 percentage points), and those over 70 (down 2.8 percentage points). By ideological inclination, the moderate (down 2.3 percentage points) and progressive (down 1.8 percentage points) groups also saw declines.

In a party support survey conducted on 1,004 people aged 18 and above nationwide on the 25th and 26th (with a margin of error of ±3.1% at a 95% confidence level), the People’s Power party recorded 34.1% and the Democratic Party recorded 35.1%. Each of these figures represents a decrease of 1.7 percentage points and an increase of 0.1 percentage points, respectively, from a week ago.

The Justice Innovation Party recorded 13.5%, the Reform New Party 6.2%, the New Future 1.8%, the Progressive Party 1.6%, and other parties 2.7%. The non-party-affiliated group was 5.0%.

The survey on the evaluation of the president’s administrative performance was conducted using an automated response system, with 97% wireless and 3% wired responses. The response rate was 2.8%.
