Kim Jong Un of North Korea paid a congratulatory visit to Kim Il Sung Military University on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army.

The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 26th, “Kim Jong Un congratulated the visit to Kim Il Sung Military University, the highest hall of military education, on the 25th and encouraged all faculty and students”.

In his commemorative speech at the university, Kim stated, “A powerful army is the pillar and future of a strong country, and the existence and success of a country entirely depends on its military power.”

He stressed, “Just as a house does not collapse if only the pillars are strong, the core capabilities that form the backbone of the People’s Army must be prepared solidly to build a strong army and powerful military power.”

Kim said, “The military education front is a fortress for strengthening the core of our party army and the front line, and the transmission of the Juche revolution’s great achievements pioneered from Baekdu depends on our army’s strength and invincible combat power.”

He also stated, “Our army’s combat power, which must evolve and develop incessantly to meet the current era, should be guaranteed by the high skills and faculty’s excellent teaching performance.”

The media reported, “Kim requested a thorough accomplishment by consistently holding the policy of implementing, integrating, and modernizing the party’s four major military lines and education content.”

He also proposed tasks and methods to leap to a new high level in the university’s teaching and cultivation business, saying, “All students must be raised as wise and brave all-round commanders with absolute loyalty to the party and revolution and high military qualities.”
