A North Korean defector claimed that Kim Jong Un annually selects 25 virgins for his Pleasure Squad just like his father, Kim Jong Il, did.

British news outlet The Mirror reported on April 30 (local time) that Kim Jong Un picks 25 virgins every year to entertain him in a creepy pleasure club.” The Mirror based its article on claims made by North Korean defector Park Yeon Mi.

Ms. Park detailed when the Pleasure Squad appeared and how women were selected.

Park, who escaped North Korea at a young age, stated that the Pleasure Squad was selected based on charm and political loyalty.

She revealed that Kim Jong Il conceived the idea of the Pleasure Squad in the 1970s when he handpicked a few attractive women and took them to a vacation spot his father, Kim Il Sung, used to go to.

Park explained that officials visit classrooms and playgrounds to identify candidates, stating, “If a pretty girl is spotted, they first check the family’s status and political status. Girls from families who have escaped North Korea or have relatives in South Korea or other countries are not selected.”

Park said that Kim Jong Il established a second Pleasure Squad for himself in 1983.

She claimed, “The three men had different tastes in women, so the team composition varied. Kim Jong Il was short and preferred women who were taller than 5’3″ but not too tall, while Kim Jong Un prefers slim, Western-looking women.”

Park revealed that the Pleasure Squad consists of three groups responsible for massage, performance, and sexual acts, respectively.

She explained, “Their sole purpose is to learn how to please men. The charming girls serve Kim, while the others satisfy generals and politicians.”
