North Korean and Vietnamese deputy foreign ministers met to discuss strategies for enhancing bilateral relations.
On Thursday, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) announced that North Korea’s deputy foreign minister, Park Sang Gil, and Vietnam’s first deputy foreign minister, Nguyen Minh Vu, had held talks in Pyongyang the day before.
According to KCNA, the two ministers engaged in thorough discussions and reached a consensus on expanding exchanges and cooperation across various sectors. They also agreed to elevate the long-standing friendship between the two nations to a new, higher level.
The meeting included North Korean foreign ministry officials, a delegation from Vietnam’s foreign ministry, and the Vietnamese ambassador to North Korea.
Vietnam, a socialist country, has maintained a friendly relationship with North Korea for many years.
