Stray Kids’ Felix Breaks K-Pop Records on Instagram With 18 M Followers

Stray Kids’ Felix has set a new record among the fourth-generation K-pop artists by achieving 18 million followers on Instagram.

Since launching his personal Instagram account in August of last year, Felix has seen a steep rise in followers. As of the afternoon of April 2, he boasted 18.35 million followers, the highest number among fourth-generation K-pop artists, indicating his worldwide popularity.

Felix has attracted fans by filling his personal Instagram feed with photos highlighting his unique sentiments and charm. He has engaged with fans worldwide (known as STAYs) by sharing everything from behind-the-scenes shooting images to snippets of his daily life, leading to a rise in follower numbers.

Stray Kids’ group social metrics also show a clear expansion trend. Their exceptional performances, singing skills, and original content, including official videos detailing their song production process and members’ vibrant energy, have delighted K-pop fans and driven an increase in subscribers. As evidence, as of the afternoon of April 2, Stray Kids’ official YouTube channel broke the record for the highest number of subscribers among fourth-generation K-pop groups, surpassing 15.9 million and nearing 16 million.

Stray Kids has been making strides in K-pop with their unique concept, powerful performances, and self-producing capabilities. Their latest album, 樂-STAR (Rockstar), released in November 2023, topped the US Billboard Billboard 200 for the fourth consecutive time, and the title song “Rock (樂)” became the first fourth-generation K-pop boy group to enter the Hot 100. They recently added to their accolades by winning the Group of the Year at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards held in Los Angeles, followed by the K-pop Album of the Year for their third full album ★★★★★ (5-STAR) at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

K-pop powerhouses Stray Kids are taking their explosive energy global this summer, headlining major music festivals. They’ll ignite stages at Italy’s Milan I-Days (July 12), London’s BST Hyde Park (July 14), and Lollapalooza Chicago (August 2).
