Deadpool and Wolverine Smash Records: Over 1 Million Tickets Sold in Just 5 Days

Within five days of its premiere, Deadpool and Wolverine surpassed one million viewers in South Korea.

According to the integrated ticketing system for cinemas, the film attracted a cumulative audience of 1,001,572 as of 2:30 PM on July 28 (KST), crossing the 1 million mark.

Given the popularity of this year’s blockbusters like Wonka, which drew 3.53 million viewers, and Escape and Dune: Part 2, which each drew over 2 million, the film gains significance from its quick success. Deadpool and Wolverine also keep up with the success of Logan, which is often recognized as Hugh Jackman’s signature movie and depicts Wolverine’s noble sacrifice. The movie has remained at the top of the box office for four days, building buzz about how well the movie will perform going forward.

Deadpool and Wolverine is an explosive action blockbuster that follows Deadpool, who retires from his superhero life and lives as an ordinary used car dealer. After facing an unexpected crisis, he seeks out Wolverine, his complete opposite.

Audiences have showered the film with praise since its release as viewers are raving about the adrenaline-pumping action and hilarious humor.
