The Finnish intelligence testing agency Wiqtcom announced the 2024 World’s Most Intelligent Country Ranking based on the results of IQ tests in 109 countries.

According to Wiqtcom’s announcement, Japan has the highest average IQ.

Japan topped the list with 112.30. Following Japan, Hungary (111.28), Taiwan (111.20), and Italy (110.82) ranked second to fourth. Wiqtcom stated, “The world average is 99.64.”

Among the surveyed countries, Mozambique was the lowest-ranked, with 90.06. However, Wiqtcom drew a line saying, “IQ is not an absolute standard.”

Wiqtcom emphasized, “IQ is a measure to estimate general intelligence” and “as a relative index, it cannot solely evaluate a person’s intellectual ability.”

Meanwhile, Japan also topped the National Intelligence Report released by the UK’s Ulster Institute for Social Research in 2019 with an average IQ of 106.48.
