inews24 Views

On the 28th, BBC reported that NASA selected SpaceX to dismantle the ISS. The contract is worth approximately $843 million. SpaceX plans to construct a vehicle to crash the ISS into the Pacific Ocean in the next 10 years.

Since its first launch in 1998, the ISS has played a significant role in international space research for over 20 years. The tentative retirement date for the ISS has been set for 2030. NASA plans to collaborate with SpaceX, Blue Origin, and others to construct a new space station that can operate starting from the early 2030s in a private-led initiative.
