U.S. Watch Out: North Korea’s Sneaky Move with Russia, What They’re Planning

Yonhap News

The signing of the Russia-North Korea agreement last month signals a move to strengthen military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

The Korean Central News Agency reported that officials responsible for North Korean People’s Army military education are heading to Russia.

The report revealed that a Korean People’s Army military education officials delegation, headed by Kim Kum Chol, the dean of Kim Il Sung Military University, left Pyongyang the previous day to visit Russia. Details such as the other members of the delegation and the purpose, location, and duration of the visit were not disclosed.

This is the first time North Korean military officials have visited Russia since North Korea and Russia signed a “Treaty on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” last month.

Military cooperation between Russia and North Korea violates UN Security Council resolutions. The KCNA report publicly declared this cooperation between Russia and North Korea and illustrated that North Korea is completely disregarding the fact that it is violating Security Council resolutions.

Meanwhile, Kim Il Sung Military University is a military institution in North Korea that focuses on the re-education of military officers. It is known that the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, studied military knowledge, such as artillery science, at this school after studying in Switzerland.
