With Jimin and Jungkook also enlisting on the 12th, all members of BTS will be fulfilling their mandatory military service obligations.

Eldest member Jin enlisted last December, J-Hope in April of this year, and Suga has served as a public service worker since September.

In a post on the fan community platform Weverse, RM expressed, “I’ve been so happy to live as part of BTS for the past 10 years,” adding, “I believe this period will be a time of new inspiration and learning for all of us.”

He also bid a temporary farewell, saying, “Goodbye for now. Let’s be ourselves wherever and whenever! See you in the future.”

During Weverse’s live broadcast on the 5th, V expressed his anticipation, saying, “I’m excited. I might be older than the members I’ll be going with (to the military), but I believe I can gain new insights from talking with them.”

Both the members and their agency have asked fans to refrain from visiting the training center on the day of enlistment.

The discharge dates for RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are expected to be in June 2025. The BTS members and their agency hope to resume complete group activities in 2025.
