Trump Takes TikTok by Storm: Surpasses Biden’s Followers in Just 3 Days!

Former President Donald Trump’s TikTok account is exploding in popularity, amassing over ten times the followers of President Joe Biden in just three days since its creation.

According to NBC and other sources on the 4th, as of today, Trump’s TikTok account has approximately 5.2 million followers and 5.4 million “likes,” while Biden’s TikTok account has only 356,000 followers and 4.6 million.

Trump first posted a video on the 1st from his attendance at the UFC 302 in New Jersey. In less than 15 hours, he secured 2.2 million followers. NBC reported, “Within a day, the page had surpassed the Biden campaign’s account in followers, and by Monday morning had accumulated a following more than 10 times the size of the Biden campaign’s.”

Trump’s first video, approximately 13 seconds long, begins with UFC CEO Dana White announcing, “The president is now on TikTok,” to which Trump responds, “It’s an honor.” This video currently has 63 million views.

Donald Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, stated that the former president’s substantial number of TikTok followers is evidence of widespread support and momentum for him nationwide.

On the other hand, Harry Sisson, a pro-Biden TikTok creator, told NBC, “Trump’s using the [username] that everybody knows from different social media platforms, the realDonaldTrump, whereas @BidenHQ is something that not a lot of Americans know. If Biden were to make a personal account where Biden himself is posting content, now it’d be a different story.”

With Trump’s account gaining popularity on TikTok, Trump’s campaign will likely leverage this as a major election campaign tool. According to an NBC poll released earlier this year, 11% of all American voters aged between 18 and 34 use TikTok at least once daily.
