A recent poll reveals that Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in a tight race.
CBS News and YouGov surveyed 3,102 voters from October 30 to November 2, with results released on November 4. The survey shows Kamala Harris leading with a national support rate of 50%, just ahead of Donald Trump at 49%. This margin falls within the survey’s margin of error of ±2.1%.
In seven key battleground states critical for the election, both candidates are tied at 50% each. The support is evenly split in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. Harris has a slight edge in Nevada, while Trump leads in Wisconsin, Georgia, and North Carolina. All of these states have a margin of error of ±4%.
After Harris became the Democratic nominee, the party seemed to be reuniting. In a survey conducted on October 18, only 58% of Black voters stated they would vote in this election. However, that figure now rose to 74%. When Biden was the Democratic candidate, 73% of Black voters said they would vote for him, while Harris had 81% support.
Regarding gender, 54% of women favor Harris compared to 45% for Trump. For men, Trump leads 54%, while Harris’s is 45%.
Meanwhile, a summary of four polls by CNN shows that Trump scored 49% and 47% for Harris. Additionally, The Hill, a U.S. political news outlet, cumulated 97 national polls, revealing Harris at 46.5% and Trump at 47.6%, showing a narrow gap of 1.1 percentage points.
