Leaked Docs: Russia Prepares Korean-Language Survey for North Korean Soldiers in Ukraine War
wikitree Views
Russia has reportedly prepared Korean-language questionnaires to ensure the proper supply of goods to North Korean soldiers deployed to the country.
According to CNN, which obtained the document through Ukraine’s Centre for Strategic Communication and Information Security (SPRAVDI), the form gathers personal information such as hat size, clothing measurements, and shoe size. The questionnaire includes instructions in both Korean and Russian, aimed at equipping North Korean soldiers with uniforms and boots after their deployment to Russia.
The questionnaire includes fields for hat circumference, height, and chest measurements, categorizing hats and uniforms as summer wear. Notably, the clothing size systems of Russia and North Korea differ, so the questionnaire includes a section for Russian military clothing sizes along with separate size distinctions based on height.
For example, it lists numbers like 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, with corresponding height ranges such as 162-168 cm and 168-174 cm.
The section for North Korean sizes also remains blank, requiring North Korean soldiers to fill in their height or North Korean uniform sizes themselves.
The existence of these forms serves as compelling evidence that North Korean soldiers have been deployed to Russia. It is known that soldiers are required to complete these questionnaires immediately upon arrival.
SPRAVDI also released footage showing North Korean soldiers training at what appears to be the Sergiyevsky training facility in Primorsky Krai, preparing for deployment to Ukraine. The video reveals soldiers with North Korean accents receiving equipment from Russian personnel.
Footage shared on the Telegram channel Parafax confirms the presence of North Korean soldiers in Russia. The footage shows them undergoing training. Experts analyzing the footage identified the training location as the Sergiyevsky facility, with soldiers wearing uniforms marked with the symbol of Russia’s Eastern Military District. These developments indicate a growing collaboration between North Korea and Russia amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
