Moon Da Hye, the daughter of former South Korean President Moon Jae In, has been charged with drunk driving following a traffic incident, with security footage of the event now released to the public.

On Saturday, around 2:15 a.m., Moon approached her parked car in an alley in Itaewon, Yongsan District, Seoul. Captured by Yonhap News TV

According to security footage obtained by Yonhap News TV, Moon was seen staggering in an alley in Seoul’s Itaewon neighborhood around 2:15 a.m. on October 5. After walking unsteadily for about 30 meters, she got into her parked Casper and drove through an intersection despite a red light.

She further obstructed traffic by entering a lane designated for right turns while signaling left before attempting an illegal left turn at the intersection.

Ultimately, Moon turned left and collided with a taxi that followed her a few minutes later. The driver of the cab reportedly sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Moon’s blood alcohol concentration measured at 0.149%, which is above the legal limit for license suspension. The Yongsan Police have charged her with drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act. They are expected to summon her for questioning as early as October 8 to investigate the details of the accident and any potential traffic violations.
