Bernie Sanders Believes Biden Can Defeat ‘Most Dangerous President’

Daniel Kim Views

An independent Senator, Bernie Sanders, openly defended President Joe Biden despite health concerns about the presidential election. Sanders is a year older than Biden.

Senator Sanders appeared on CBS and claimed, “President Biden can clearly defeat Donald Trump, the most dangerous president in the history of this country.”

Sanders agreed with critics of Biden’s age, saying, “Biden is old, he’s not as articulate as he once was. I wish he could jump up the steps on Air Force One.”

However, he emphasized, “What we have got to focus on is policy,” and explained that Biden’s policy appeals to the American working class through his Medicaid and child tax policies. He further stressed, “He has got to say, ‘I am prepared to take on corporate greed, massive income and wealth inequality and stand with the working class in this country. He does that; he’s gonna win and win big.”

Sanders is 82 this year and a year older than President Biden, who is 81. He competed against Biden for the Democratic candidacy in the 2020 election. During the interview, he announced that he would be running for re-election as a senator from Vermont.

The New York Post criticized Biden’s age issue, stating, “Sanders, who is running for the fourth term in the upper chamber, has also grappled with questions over his age. But unlike Biden, he has not often been caught on camera mangling his words, freezing up or appearing to lose his train of thought.”
